70% Corvina, 25% Rondinella, 5% Croatina.
The grapes from the “brolo” (enclosed vineyard, located at a higher elevation than the one used for the Classico) are carefully selected to make this Ripasso. In the spring, the wine ferments a second time, and macerates on the Amarone skins, which are still warm and contain plenty of sugar, flavors and aromas. Thank to this second fermentation, the Ripasso obtains more structure, body and intensity. Aged for 18 months in small oak barrels.
An intense nose, elegant and rich, with hints of red berries under sweet spices and tobacco. On the palate, full-bodied, balanced and intense, good persistence of spicy aromas. 5 gr. RS.
