Wine Spectator 91 points - This is saturated with blackberry, black cherry and chocolate flavors, allied to a plush profile and backed by a dense structure. The fruit-filled aftertaste lingers. Best from 2020 through 2025. 580 cases made. -BS.February/2019
Wine Advocate 92 points - I had tasted this as an unfinished wine last year but hadn’t assigned an official score until now. The 2017 Dolcetto d’Alba Coste & Fossati pours from the bottle with an inky dark appearance, but the bouquet is rather tame and contained considering the full-throttle personality of Dolcetto. (This should be especially true in a hot vintage such as 2017.) Dark cherry and blackberry notes unfold to give the wine a lasting sensation of thickness and darkness..June/2019
