Tasting notes

Named for Primitivo vineyards lying 31 meters abovesea level in northern Salento, this is loaded with layers of rich, ripe fruit. Assertive and exuberant, yet it maintains a sense of elegance with its blackberry, mocha and spicy fruit character.

Wine maker notes

Started just a few years ago by three young winemakers, Vini Menhir, in the southernmost part of Puglia, is committed to research and to gaining recognition for the wines of Puglia using indigenous grapes. The winery is named for the ancient stone monoliths that dot the landscape of Salento and have stood firm against the test of time.
