Tasting notes

Only 500 case produced from a vineyard where drought continues to impact. All the fruit is sourced from his vineyard and what does not make the cut to Sally's Paddock is used in Hundred Tree Hill which over delivers in quality for the asking price. Naturally, this region produces dark colored reds but with low yields due to the drought, the color is even richer with a deep purple hue. This wine was released in Sept 2007 where it was aged in 400 L casks, so as not to impart a lot of oak. The wine is well integrated and has those dark fruits and secondary notes that are associated with Cabernet.
