For more than four generations, the Catena family has been growing grapes at the foot of the Andes mountains in Mendoza, Argentina. Laura Catena, great grand-daughter of founder Nicola Catena, selects the most concentrated grapes to create a Malbec with powerful black fruit aromatics and the smooth lengthy finish that has become the family's singature trademark. Catena Malbec is produced from the following estate vineyards: Adrianna vineyards, located in Tupungato (5000') elevation; Angelica Vineyard, located in Lunlunta (2,850' elevation); La Piramide Vineyard, located in Agrelo (3,100' elevation) and Nicasia Vineyard, located in Altamira (3,870' elevation).
